Challis Mining is on track to update its resources at the Hurimar nickel-copper platinum-group metal deposit in Western Australia.
The world-class Goneville deposit has discovered ore resources of 350 million tonnes at a grade of 0.96 g/t precious metals (3E, palladium, platinum and gold), 0.16% nickel, 0.1% copper and 0.015% cobalt, or 0.58% nickel equivalent or 1.8 g/t palladium equivalent.
In terms of metal volume, 3E had 11 million ounces of metal, 560,000 tons of nickel, 360,000 tons of copper, 54,000 tons of cobalt, or 2 million tons of nickel equivalent, or 20 million ounces of palladium equivalent.

Among the existing resources, 2.9 million tons of ore with palladium equivalent grade of 3.7 g/t or nickel equivalent grade of 1.2%, 82 million tons of high-grade sulfide ore with 3E grade of 1.7 g/t, nickel equivalent grade of 0.21%, copper 0.2% and cobalt grade of 0.02%, or nickel equivalent grade of 1% or palladium equivalent grade of 2.9 g/t; By volume, 3E had 4.5 million ounces of metal, 180,000 tons of nickel, 170,000 tons of copper, 16,000 tons of cobalt, or 790,000 tons of nickel equivalent, or 7.7 million ounces of palladium equivalent.
Since July 2022, the project has completed 120 infill drilling holes, the results of which will serve as the basis for the resource renewal.
Currently, 90 percent of the resources are presumed resources, and a small portion will be upgraded to proven resources.
In addition, the results of 80 edging boreholes will be used as a basis for updating the resource level.
